Distribution of Natural Gas

HomeDistribution of Natural Gas

Natural Gas is transported and supplied to the consumer’s premises through an extensive pipeline network. This pipeline network is linked on the main steel pipeline that transports the gas from the source to the city. The gas, commonly known as Piped Natural Gas (PNG), is distributed via a relatively smaller network of interconnected pipelines to reach homes, offices, stores, factories and all major demand centers of the area.

Along the steel network, CNG stations are commissioned by the company where natural gas is compressed at a high pressure and dispensed to vehicles. The pressure regulators maintain the requisite pressure in the pipeline and metering device installed at the customer’s premises and records the units of gas consumed by the user based on which invoice is raised.
